I have been a bit slow getting this website up and running for John because as usual I have overcommitted myself in many areas such as working full time while attempting to study. I am what you might call the web developer equivalent of amateur dramatics. This is the first blog post, after this its up to you JW.
I received guitar lessons from John on and off for the past four years. When I first walked into his office studio, I knew what a guitar was and that it had strings, but that was my limit. John asked me what music I liked and what songs I would like to learn to play. I selected several popular and less popular songs. John suggested which were suitable to learn as a beginner and started me on learning the notes and basic chords. After many finger stretching, flexibility exercises and countless repositioning of my fingers on the fret-board I learned to play my first song; The Beatles – Let it Be.
I continue to use John as my guitar teacher and recommend him to any budding or seasoned guitarist who would love to take their guitar skills to new heights.
Best regards

My son (aged 11) started lessons with John in March. Since then he has really gone as a musician. He has taken his guitar playing from picking old time tunes that he hated to now playing cords, learning songs from Greenday and AD/DC. He now practises over an hour each night (much to the annoyance of his mother). John makes the experience enjoyable and I can highly recommend him to anyone that wants to get to a level where they might be able to play in a band.
